As a team, Big Red Rocket has been designing websites and delivering compelling copy for a number of years. We also consult for and advise businesses on their website visibility (SEO) and digital performance.
A website needs to do many things. It is the first time that many potential customers will be aware of you and what you do. The products you sell, the services you provide, key information and your digital voice.
A website needs to be designed to get your message across, both visually and textually. It needs to grab a visitors attention and encourage them to move through your website, towards the end goal, be that making contact or making a purchase.
In designing a website you need to be aware of the most up to date technologies that should be employed. That it should be appealing to the eye, interesting to read and intuitive in use.
You must work on the understanding that your visitors will not work hard to use your site but want everything to be intuitive, from the navigation to the contact methods, to the way they can buy and get the information they want.
The written word has never been so important for your digital platform as it is right now.
The search engines are dependent on what content you use within your website to understand its relevance when assessing where to place it in their Search Engine Results Pages [“SERPs”].
If we look at Google and Bing as the major search engines, their spider bots crawl websites to see how they are built and what they are about. If your content is not written correctly, does not contain the correct keywords and phrases or is too thin (not enough content), then the search engines will not know where to place your website within their results.
If for example, your website is about widgets in Cornwall and your content does not have relevant terms and phrases within it, the chances of your website being returned in the SERPs are very much diminished.
Importantly, your content is the voice of your website and not all websites want to send out the same message. In writing for your site we will take the time to ascertain the message you want to convey and be sympathetic to both your sector and visitors.
Not everyone needs a new website but will want to know how to get the best from their existing digital platform.
However, knowing that you want to do this and achieving it can be two differing concepts that are very wide apart. The difference between vision and realisation is generally having the right advice and skill sets around you to make it happen.
Having worked successfully within a wide variety of sectors, we are well placed to consult on a digital project and ensure that all the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed. We are happy to work with in-house teams as well as external agencies to ensure your vision comes to life.
It may also be the case your current website or social media campaigns are not being as effective as you wished. We are able to bring a level of objectivity which can sometimes be lost on a day to day basis.
We are very effective in assessing where you are and where you want to be. We are not about generating reports but generating action and results.
